Patrece Lucas is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, wellness coach/partner, mediator, companion, caregiver, and the founder of indigo transitions, PLLC, a private practice. Patrece serves Detroit, Michigan, and surrounding communities as a Community Counselor. At indigo transitions, she provides support to clients as they PREPARE for, MANIFEST, and begin to LIVE their best lives through counseling, coaching, and wellness partnerships. She also provides consulting services as a Business Coach, Nationally Recognized Speaker, Trainer, Facilitator, Corporate Team Builder, and Wellness Partner.

Beyond her practice, Patrece leads Coffee with a Counselor, a social advocacy initiative offering workshops, lectures, brief counseling, and healing circles wherever communities gather—promoting mental health awareness, education, prevention, and intervention.

Patrece is a consulting member of Women Transforming Families in Communities of Color (WTF: Revolt), a national survivor-led cohort. Her advocacy work has included providing counseling support to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, children, and families through the Michigan Department of Human Services and volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and working with the juvenile courts to support children in foster care, during adoptions, and the family reunification processes. Patrece is also a Care Across Generations 2024 Care Fellow. Patrece has been a caregiver and provided care to her mother beginning at a young age, grandparents, her own children, and her community and village most of her life.

She is certified in Death and Grief Studies, serving as the resident and co-founding counselor for Where Do Black Women Go to Grieve, and works as a grief and death doula. Additionally, she is a certified Breathwork Facilitator through Black Girls Breathing®, teaching the regulating and healing power of the breath. Patrece specializes in culturally specific care and creating safe healing spaces.
