She also co-founder ZEG, a global storytelling network that breaks down barriers between disciplines, countries, and perspectives, and creates space for new ways of understanding a fragmented world.

A former BBC foreign correspondent, she has covered crises and wars on four continents and has reported undercover in countries like Burma, Yemen and Uzbekistan. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, The New Yorker, Foreign Affairs, and CNN, and has been recognized with multiple journalism awards, including an Emmy nomination.
