Hoeflinger
Monique is a seasoned strategist with over 20 years advancing social justice through grantmaking, movement building, and mission-driven leadership in philanthropy and nonprofits.
She has held leadership roles across diverse philanthropic organizations – including Managing Director at the Rockefeller Foundation, Founding Executive Director of the Just Beginnings Funder Collaborative, and Senior Program Officer at the Ms. Foundation for Women – developing deep expertise in resourcing movements for social change.
Alongside her philanthropic work, Monique has held senior roles in national and state-based movement organizations. She served as Chief of Staff at the National LGBTQ Task Force and played a key role in LGBTQ campaigns across the country. She served on Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, helping to build an unprecedented national network of LGBTQ leaders. She also led strategy for Beyond 100K, a national network advancing racial equity in education.
Early in her career, Monique worked as a civil rights lawyer focused on women in the criminal legal system.
