Cassidy
Kimberly Wright Cassidy is President Emeritus and Professor of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College. She served as Bryn Mawr’s provost from 2007-2013, and as its ninth president from 2013-2024. She has been a member of the Bryn Mawr Psychology Department since 1993. As both provost and president, Cassidy promoted academic innovation and partnered with faculty to develop new academic programs and new approaches to teaching in a liberal arts context.
One of Cassidy's top priorities as president was to create equal access to a Bryn Mawr education. During her tenure, the College increased its financial aid budget by more than 50%, completed a campaign that raised more than $60M in endowment for student scholarships, and changed financial aid packaging to eliminate student loans for families with incomes below $110,000.
Cassidy is a public advocate for gender equity, focusing on equity issues in STEM disciplines and workplaces. Her areas of scholarly research include positive psychology and thriving in college and in the workplace.
