Sandoval
Dr. Gabriela Sandoval, Ph.D. has over two decades of experience as a nonprofit leader, researcher, and advocate advancing economic, racial, gender, and social justice. She has held senior leadership roles across mission-driven organizations, including The Utility Reform Network (TURN), where she served as Director of Race & Equity Policy, expanding institutional funding and leading successful consumer protection campaigns. As Executive Director of the Excessive Wealth Disorder Institute, she built the organization’s foundation, systems, and funding base. She directed research and policy at the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, where she worked closely with the Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative and convened national networks to influence equity policy. Dr. Sandoval served as a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
