Koh
Emily Koh is a Fellow at New America and the Founder and Executive Director of Moving History Forward, an initiative to reimagine the goals of the historic 1977 National Women’s Conference for a new era and fulfill its promise to achieve gender equity in America now.
A steadfast advocate for gender equity and women’s rights, Emily has over 15 years of experience developing public policy, running programs and initiatives, and managing campaigns. Most recently, she served in the Biden White House on the Gender Policy Council, a first-of-its-kind office that advanced gender equity and equality in domestic and foreign policy. Prior to the White House, Emily worked at prominent women’s rights organizations, TIME’S UP and Lean In, and in New York City government in roles focused on strategy, operations, and program management.
Emily began her career on political campaigns and in education and media. She has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
