Diana Bucco is a social entrepreneur, strategist and problem solver who launched organizations and initiatives resulting in significant cultural and systemic changes in education, mentoring, public safety, and community development. She was instrumental in the launch of AmeriCorps serving more than 1 million individuals and over 1 billion dollars in education awards since inception, expanded the youth mentoring paradigm to include workplace, faith based and group models serving thousands of youth, and guided more than 450 nonprofits through significant change during the great recession through organizational restructuring and introducing advocacy and first-in-class management practices to the field. As President of the Buhl Foundation, she has led the revisioning of the Foundation’s approach to philanthropy and has leveraged the Foundation's funding through partnerships directing millions of dollars in the Pittsburgh community. She is recognized as a national thought leader in nonprofit management, public policy and advocacy, and is tapped regularly as an advisor on timely issues in the nonprofit sector.
