Michele L. Jawando is CEO of Omidyar Network, where she leads strategy, partnerships, and efforts to advance a more inclusive, human-centered technology ecosystem. She connects leaders across sectors and integrates policy, investment, and narrative strategies to drive impact. Under her leadership, the organization has expanded its work in responsible technology and AI governance, supporting more than 100 organizations. Previously, Michele held senior roles at Google, including U.S. Head of Strategic Engagement and Public Policy Partnerships, and co-led the 2020 Global Election Integrity team. Her public service includes leadership positions at the Center for American Progress and advisory roles to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Congressman Gregory Meeks. A recognized expert in law and tech policy, she serves on multiple advisory boards and is a frequent media commentator. Michele holds a J.D. from UNC School of Law and a B.A. from Hampton University.
